Ruoxi Jin's Exhibition 'MA Félicité' Explores Memory Through Assemblage at Le Plateau in Paris

Ruoxi Jin, born in 1997 in Harbin, China and a 2024 graduate of Paris's École des Beaux-Arts, presents her exhibition 'MA Félicité' at Le Plateau in Paris in 2026. The installation-based project stems from her relationship with Félicité, a neighbor and wedding ceremony master for Paris's Chinese community. Jin's practice involves collecting and assembling found objects and everyday materials to examine social rituals and contemporary emotional bonds. She has moved away from using raw materials, instead creating a continuously transforming archive of items that she modifies through precise actions like cutting, sewing, or soldering. The exhibition features works including 'Laisser couler' with artificial flower waves and '...red flag, green flag, red flag...' with pulsating lights in distilled water, inviting viewers to form personal connections through fragmented materials.
