Roshan Chhabria's 'A Misbehaviour of Form' probes Indian middle-class identity

Roshan Chhabria presents 'A Misbehaviour of Form', a new body of work expanding his engagement with Indian middle-class life. The exhibition unfolds across narrative and formal strands, rooted in observation, memory, and humour. Chhabria's practice draws from early experiences in his father's cloth and tailoring shop in a Baroda alleyway, where he observed Sindhi community customers' gestures, postures, and class negotiations. Through drawing, installation, and object-based assemblage, he transforms these lived observations into reflections on identity and cultural performance.
