Rocío Sáenz's 'Orden salvaje' Exhibition Confronts Mexico's Disappearances and Pandemic at MUSEUM

From December 12, 2025, until April 12, 2026, the Museo de las Artes de la Universidad de Guadalajara, also known as MUSA, will feature an exhibition titled 'Orden salvaje' by the Mexican artist Rocío Sáenz. This exhibit presents over 60 artworks created during a three-year period with support from the Sistema Nacional de Creadores, focusing on the issue of forced disappearances in contemporary Mexico. Among the highlighted pieces are 'Búscame dentro,' 'Terreno inestable,' and 'Rizoma.' The exhibit serves as an open studio, showcasing Sáenz's creative journey. Her ceramic series, 'Desviación del camino,' uses traffic cones to symbolize societal stagnation, while her art oscillates between abstraction and representation, addressing themes of destruction and rebirth. Photographers Carlos Díaz Corona and Karla Robles documented the exhibition.
