Born in 1978 in Taranto, Italy, Roberto Ferri is a distinguished contemporary figurative artist celebrated for his mastery of chiaroscuro and anatomical detail. He draws inspiration from Caravaggio and other greats like Jacques Louis David, earning his degree in Scenography with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in 2006. Ferri's artwork has been showcased internationally, including at the Venice Biennale and Art Miami, with solo exhibitions in major urban centers. His significant commissions feature portraits of Pope Francis and a fourteen-panel Via Crucis for Noto's Cathedral. Described as "almost like prayers to God," his creations merge sacred themes with psychological elements. Since 2009, he has partnered with Liquid Art System, and his catalogues are preserved at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
