Robb Moss's 'The Bend in the River' Gets US Premiere at Film Forum

Film Forum in New York will host the US theatrical premiere of Robb Moss's documentary 'The Bend in the River' on August 14, 2025. The film is the final installment of a trilogy following five friends—Barry, Danny, Cathy, Jeff, and Jim—whom Moss first filmed in 1978 during a clothing-optional rafting trip through the Grand Canyon. That footage became his short 'Riverdogs' (1982). He revisited them for 'The Same River Twice' (2003), capturing their transition into adulthood. 'The Bend in the River' weaves together nearly 50 years of footage, exploring themes of life's contradictions and continuities. The premiere will be preceded by select screenings of the earlier two films. The run lasts one week only.
