Riyadh University of Arts Launches in September with Four Colleges Focused on Creative Industries

Riyadh University of Arts will open its doors to students this September, with admissions beginning in May. The institution, led by Prince Badr bin Abdullah and guided by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Culture, aims to connect education with industry needs across creative sectors. Initially launching with four colleges covering music, film, theatre and performing arts, and cultural management, the university will offer programs in architecture, design, culinary arts, visual arts, fashion, and other subjects. These programs are designed to address growing demand for skilled professionals in creative fields. The academic model emphasizes flexibility, offering pathways from short courses to postgraduate degrees to support lifelong learning. As a strategic investment aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, the university seeks to shape Saudi Arabia's creative economy and cultural identity globally. Future expansion plans include additional colleges and disciplines. The institution was first unveiled last year and is based in Riyadh.
