Ricoh Announces Special GR IV 30th Anniversary Edition Limited to 6,000 Units

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the GR1, which debuted in October 1996, Ricoh is set to unveil a limited edition GR IV camera. Only 6,000 units will be produced globally. This special model boasts a shutter release button and rear buttons adorned with a color reminiscent of the GR1, along with a unique "GN-3 (30th)" ring cap featuring a diamond cut finish and a power-off screen showcasing the GR 30th anniversary design. Additionally, it comes with a metal hotshoe cover "GK-2 (30th)", a finger strap "GS-4 (30th)", and a pin badge set inspired by previous GR series models. The hotshoe cover and finger strap will be available separately, with the former compatible with GR III and GR IIIx. Pricing and sales details will be revealed as the autumn 2026 launch approaches. This release is part of Ricoh's "Forever a Snapshooter" initiative, which will host fan events worldwide starting this fall, highlighting the GR series' dedication to superior image quality, rapid response, and portability, consistent through evolving technology.
