Richard Humann's X-Ray Music Discs at Leonovich Gallery
Richard Humann's solo exhibition 'Tomorrow I'll Miss You' at Leonovich Gallery in Chelsea (November 6 - December 20, 2025) features music discs pressed onto x-ray films, inspired by Soviet-era 'bone music' where Western records were smuggled on recycled x-rays. Humann sourced 100 x-rays of body parts, transferred them to archival film mounted on polycarbonate flexi discs, and composed six original songs using AI with detailed prompts. The works explore the physicality of music and subversive creativity under oppression.
