RH Opens Museum-Scale Design Gallery in Milan's Historic Palazzo del Principe di Piombino

The American luxury interior design brand RH is preparing to open its first Italian Gallery in Milan's Palazzo del Principe di Piombino, a neoclassical 19th-century palace at Corso Venezia, 56. This monumental store spans over 5,000 square meters, plus a 1,000-square-meter garden and a subterranean restaurant called La Volta, featuring a glass vault. The opening, timed for Milan Design Week, will introduce the new RH Estates product line. Founded in 1979 as Restoration Hardware by Stephen Godon in California, RH has evolved from selling used furniture to operating expansive, hospitality-focused Galleries in historic buildings. The Milan location matches the scale and prestige of its Paris flagship on the Champs-Elysées, which opened in 2025. Following Milan, RH plans to launch a Gallery in London. The brand's Galleries offer luxury furniture, linens, lighting, art, sculptures, and premium services like caviar bars. The Milan restoration involved an investment of at least 10 million euros.
