René Morales Named Curator in Residence at Norton Museum of Art

The Norton Museum of Art has introduced René Morales as its inaugural Curator in Residence, a newly established position aimed at enhancing curatorial capabilities and refining the strategy for its contemporary collection. A veteran curator, Morales has previously served in prominent roles at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and the Pérez Art Museum Miami. He will offer transitional leadership for the Contemporary Art Council and assist the Norton in preparing for an international search for a Senior Curator in 2028. Morales has curated numerous exhibitions, such as Gary Simmons: Public Enemy and Christo and Jeanne-Claude: The Tom Golden Collection. This residency model enables the museum to engage with esteemed curatorial talents, fostering relationships with artists, collectors, and cultural institutions.
