exhibition · 2026-04-19

From April 17 to September 6, 2026, the Venaria Reale will present 'Regine in scena. L’arte del costume italiano tra cinema e teatro.' This exhibition, curated by Massimo Cantini Parrini and Clara Goria, will display 31 iconic costumes that embody the essence of queens, categorized into themes of myth, history, and fantasy. Under the promotion of the Consorzio delle Residenze Reali Sabaude, led by Michele Briamonte and Chiara Teolato, this event continues Venaria's fashion initiatives that began in 2011. Notable costumes include Elizabeth Taylor's portrayal of Cleopatra and Kirsten Dunst's Marie Antoinette, alongside sketches and fabrics that illustrate the creative process, featuring works from renowned Italian designers like Piero Tosi and Milena Canonero, with pieces from the Museo della Moda e del Costume di Firenze.
