RedNote's AI achieves first perfect score at International Mathematical Olympiad

RedNote, a leading Chinese social media company, has introduced an artificial intelligence model that has attained a flawless score at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). The model, named dots-note-3.0, successfully tackled all six problems, achieving a perfect 42 out of 42 points at this year's IMO, which wrapped up in Shanghai on Monday. Currently in its beta phase, dots-note-3.0 is the most lightweight model in the dots3 series, which also features two larger variants—jazz and aria—designed for various applications and computational expenses. Since its inception in 1959, the IMO has been regarded as the premier mathematics competition globally for both humans and AI. In contrast to standard answer-only tests, IMO challenges necessitate thorough proofs without logical flaws or omitted conditions. Last year, Google DeepMind and OpenAI both secured gold-medal-level results, scoring 35 out of 42 points.
