Recent Openings of Seven Design Galleries Highlighted by Dezeen

Dezeen has identified seven recently established design galleries across multiple international cities, showcasing new venues in London, Copenhagen, New York, Oslo, and Miami. In Oslo, D142, founded by Iranian-born photographer and stylist Neshat, operates in the Grünerløkka area as a platform for emerging creatives, with its second exhibition, Et Dukkehjem, featuring objects in both full-scale and miniature sizes. London sees three openings: Woodward Henry, created by design office Bompas & Parr in east London, debuts with the exhibition My Lady Nicotine exploring nicotine culture; Unit.d, founded by Duncan Riches in east London, focuses on accessible, affordably priced everyday objects and launched with works by Michael Marriott and Jasper Morrison; and Jig Studio in Soho, co-founded by Richard Penman and Grace Nemeth, highlights Brazilian design with an initial showcase including Alex Rocca and Humberto da Mata. In Copenhagen, Innenkreis is launched by curator Zeynep Rekkali Jensen, formerly of Etage Projects, presenting contemporary design alongside historical decorative arts, starting with garment-inspired furniture by Laerke Ryom. In the United States, The Future Perfect Miami opened during Miami art week in late 2025 as a fourth location for David Alhadeff's gallery, housed in the neoclassical Villa Paula; and House of Santal in New York, founded by Raksha Sanikam in Midtown Manhattan, debuted with a show of South Asian furniture by 13 Indian designers and studios. These galleries represent a trend of new spaces supporting diverse design practices and emerging talent globally.
