Range Rover GT: Third EV Marks Brand's Entry into Luxury Crossover Sector

Range Rover has introduced its latest all-electric vehicle, the Range Rover GT, a luxury crossover GT that launches as a fully electric model. It utilizes the new EMA platform, which will also be featured in the upcoming Jaguar Type 01. The GT showcases an unusual low, curved roofline for the brand, marking a shift from its conventional SUV emphasis towards luxury and long-distance travel. Inside, the design prioritizes minimalism, incorporating a spacious center console, a horizontal dashboard, concealed technology, woven fabrics, and few physical controls. Production is set to occur at Range Rover's Halewood facility, with a complete unveiling anticipated later this year and production potentially commencing in late 2027 or early 2028. Competing models may include the Mercedes-Maybach GLS and Bentley's future Torcal EV.
