Rana Begum's Exhibition 'Reflection' Showcases Industrial Material Abstractions in Florida

Rana Begum's exhibition 'Reflection' is currently on view at the Gallery at Windsor in Vero Beach, Florida, through May 8. The show features the artist's abstract works that incorporate industrial materials, influenced by American Minimalism and Islamic design. Begum, born in Bangladesh and raised in England, earned her BA from Chelsea College of Arts in 1999 and her MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art in 2002. She has exhibited globally, including at the Long Museum in Shanghai, Whitechapel Gallery in London, and the Gwangju Biennale. The exhibition traveled from the SCAD Museum of Art in Georgia, marking her U.S. institutional debut. Curator Daniel S. Palmer organized the presentation, noting connections to artists like Anni Albers and Dan Flavin. The gallery, founded in 2002 by Galen and Hilary M. Weston, is open to the public by appointment, with donations supporting local charities.
