Queer Art Auction Features Peaches, Chappell Roan, and Chani Nicholas
Queer|Art (QA), a nonprofit organization based in New York City, has kicked off its second annual auction exhibition featuring LGBTQIA+ art and memorabilia in conjunction with Doll Invasion, a fundraising event on Fire Island. This exhibition is hosted at Participant Inc. and Salma Sarriedine galleries and will run until Sunday, August 30, with online bidding available until Thursday, September 3. The funds raised will benefit the Queer|Art|Mentorship (QAM) program, which connects established LGBTQIA+ artists with emerging talents for a 10-month period, ending with a retreat and a stipend of $2,500. Notable items include a signed poster from Paris is Burning, artwork by Cole Escola, signed vinyl from Chappell Roan, and a portrait of Amanda Lepore, among others.
