Qatar Museums (QM) has introduced the AI Tour, marking the first national cultural and art tour globally that utilizes AI technology for personalization, generative, and conversational experiences. Created by Vineetha Muringayil and Asma Al-Jefairi, this platform connects various locations in Qatar, offering tailored itineraries. Key components include the AI Tour Generator, Art Specialist, Interactive Map, Art Lab, and Tour Passport. Available at aitour.qm.org.qa, the service will also be offered in French and Chinese. QM prioritizes responsible AI practices and content that is curatorially verified. The AI Tour was unveiled at the Museum AI Summit 2026. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, QM manages institutions such as the Museum of Islamic Art, under the leadership of Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
