PSA Studio Completes Serindang House 2 Extension in Indonesia, Bridging 2008 and 2025 Design Eras

architecture-design · 2026-04-06

PSA Studio has completed Serindang House 2, a 280 m² hospitality architecture extension in Kecamatan Beji, Indonesia, finished in 2025. The project, curated by Miwa Negoro and photographed by Mario Wibowo, represents a significant architectural challenge: connecting a structure originally built in 2008 with contemporary design requirements. Lead architects Ario Wirastomo and Ditta Astrini Wijayanti, along with lead team member Sukma Harwanti, oversaw the design process that involved bridging nearly two decades of architectural evolution. The design team included Riezky Meina, Aghni Hauna, and Sasqia Nurul Azmi, while Muchammad Sjahroni and Heri Setyawan formed the technical team. Landscape architecture was handled by Desain Padu. Rather than simply addressing changing spatial needs, the architects focused on creating continuity between the original building's context and modern design sensibilities, making the 17-year gap between construction phases a central design consideration.
