Project Groundswell's Irish Premiere at Photo Museum Ireland Explores Climate Action Imagery

Photo Museum Ireland has unveiled the Irish debut of Project Groundswell, a significant European visual arts initiative centered on the question of how climate action appears in reality. The exhibition presents works by 12 international artists who move beyond simplified environmental narratives to offer critical examinations of practical climate interventions. At its core are projects by four Project Groundswell Award Winners, chosen through an EU-wide open call that attracted over 500 submissions. These winners receive extended residencies and curatorial mentorship with partner organizations across Europe. Complementing the exhibition are four bespoke limited-edition photobooks, designed to showcase the winning series and facilitate global distribution of these visual investigations. The initiative represents a major collaborative effort to reframe environmental discourse through artistic practice.
