ProGrade Launches Dual VPG Certified CFexpress 4.0 Type A Cards

other · 2026-06-29

ProGrade Digital has launched its new Iridium-series CFexpress 4.0 Type A memory cards, available in 512GB and 1TB capacities. Equipped with dual VPG certification, these cards utilize a PCIe Gen 4 interface and an NVMe 1.4c controller, achieving impressive read speeds of up to 1,800 MB/s and write speeds reaching 1,700 MB/s, with sustained writes at 1,500 MB/s. The dual VPG400 and VPG800 certifications ensure that write speeds remain consistently above 800 MB/s, even under heavy use, making them ideal for high-resolution RAW video capture. CEO Wes Brewer noted that these cards are intended for future cameras supporting VPG Profile 4 and 5, while also being compatible with existing models. Currently, no cameras fully utilize CFexpress 4.0, but the cards are backward compatible with CFexpress 2.0. They also feature thermal throttling, laser-etched serial numbers, and a robust design that is X-ray-proof and shockproof, along with a three-year warranty. The 512GB card retails for $569.99, while the 1TB version costs $949.99, both now available for purchase.
