Prinzhorn Collection Museum asks 'Is It All Art?' for 25th anniversary

The Prinzhorn Collection Museum in Heidelberg, Germany, will mark its 25th anniversary in 2026 with the exhibition 'Is It All Art?' and an accompanying events program. The museum holds over 40,000 works created by institutionalized patients and people with mental illness from 1840 to today. The exhibition aims to explore how works made in psychiatric contexts can be exhibited when not originally intended as art, and to strengthen the inclusion of outsider art in the art world. Key works from the collection will be presented in collaboration with numerous partners.
