market-auction · 2026-09-23

Prada has purchased a pair of early 18th-century Piedmontese consoles along with a sizable Turinese Rococo mirror from antiquarians Luca Burzio and Laura Camporese. The consoles, attributed to Filippo Juvarra and dated to around 1720, are adorned in Savoy blue and feature original tops made of Busca alabaster. The mirror, standing 226 cm tall, is intricately carved, gilded, and includes original acid-etched glass plates. These items were displayed at TEFAF Maastricht 2026, booth 157, and are now showcased in the recently opened Prada Galleria in Milan. The deal is reported to have surpassed half a million euros. Burzio's family business began in post-war Turin, with his gallery opening in 1991 before partnering with Camporese. Their collection is featured in major museums globally.
