POOR Collective, Raskl, Orakel Workshop to design public art for London's Springfield Village

In Wandsworth, London, the housing project Springfield Village has chosen design studios POOR Collective, Raskl, and Orakel Workshop to create public art and seating. This initiative, managed by development consultancy AND for Barratt London, seeks to foster a cultural identity and promote community engagement. The development will include the largest public park established in London since the 2012 Olympics. POOR Collective and Raskl will create 'Five Ways of Being,' a series of five permanent metal artworks reflecting the five senses and the site’s history as a mental health care center. Orakel Workshop will craft two street furniture pieces in The Lanes, which will feature concrete or stone benches adorned with metal and ceramic inlays. Community feedback will be gathered during the design phase, with final designs expected in August and installation set to commence in January 2027.
