Pontormo Monographic Exhibition Opens at Scuderie del Quirinale in October 2026

From October 9, 2026, to February 7, 2027, the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome will present the first significant solo exhibition dedicated to Jacopo da Pontormo. Curated by Cristina Acidini alongside colleagues Elena Capretti, Philippe Costamagna, Bruce Edelstein, and Carlo Falciani, this exhibition is organized by Ales in collaboration with the Gallerie degli Uffizi and produced by Electa. It will showcase Pontormo's renowned works, such as the Visitation from the Church of San Michele Arcangelo in Carmignano, along with various paper pieces. The exhibition will include loans from multiple institutions and will feature thematic sections. Pontormo (1494–1557) is recognized as a pivotal figure in Mannerism. This event follows the successful Pharaohs exhibition at the same location.
