Pondus100copie: Artist Books in a Limited Edition of 100 at Galleria Bonelli

exhibition · 2026-04-27

From September 24 to 26, 2020, the Galleria Giovanni Bonelli in Milan will showcase pondus100copie, a collection of artist books established in 2016 by Silvia Barbieri and Massimo Kaufmann. Each book, limited to an edition of 100, is signed and numbered, featuring contributions from 16 artists, including Stefano Arienti, Gabriele Arruzzo, and Alberto Zanchetta. The launch of a new essay series includes 'Quattro Saggi' by Giorgio Verzotti and 'Cezanniana' by Alberto Zanchetta. Kaufmann notes that 'pondus,' which means 'weight' in Latin, connects to his previous artwork, symbolized by a small weight in the logo. Unique designs by Lorenzo Fioranelli and Lucrezia Zaffarano adorn each book. Future endeavors aim to publish works by Michelangelo Buonarroti, prioritizing friendship over profit.
