Pierre Augustin Rose debuts Saint Germain collection at PAD Paris with Aubusson tapestry upholstery

Pierre Augustin Rose introduced its Saint Germain collection at the PAD design fair in Paris from April 8 to 12. The collection features a three-part sofa and armchair upholstered with repurposed Aubusson tapestries, which are recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. Founded by Augustin Deleuze, Pierre Bénard, and Nina Rose, the brand blends antique craftsmanship with contemporary design, sourcing materials from Paris's Marché aux puces. The furniture includes embroidered animal figures on backrest cushions and is designed with deep, padded seats to encourage lingering. Pierre Augustin Rose previously launched a collection in its Lower Manhattan showroom last fall and maintains spaces on both banks of the Seine in Paris. The Saint Germain collection reflects the bohemian yet affluent style of its namesake neighborhood, using pointillist textiles and golden brown ombré backgrounds for depth. The oversized pieces combine child-like forms with urban elegance, featuring scalloped backrests and cylindrical armrests.
