Piano Duo Pisareva-Tchaidze Debuts with Stravinsky, Debussy, Bartók Album
Pianists Nadezda Pisareva and Georgy Tchaidze release their debut album "L'Adoration de la Terre" on GENUIN Classics, distributed by Naxos. The duo, formed over twenty years ago at the Moscow Conservatory, opens with Stravinsky's "Le Sacre du Printemps" in the four-hand piano arrangement that Stravinsky played through with Claude Debussy. The program continues with Debussy's "Six Épigraphes antiques" (1914) and concludes with Béla Bartók's "Két kép" (Two Pictures), arranged for two pianos by Zoltán Kocsis. Tchaidze, born 1988 in Saint Petersburg, won first prize at the 2009 Honens International Piano Competition and has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and Berlin's Konzerthaus. Pisareva, born 1987, earned silver at the 2010 Scottish International Piano Competition and was a member of Yehudi Menuhin Foundation "Live Music Now Berlin" from 2014 to 2016. She has performed at Gewandhaus Leipzig and Berlin Philharmonic. The album reflects the duo's broad repertoire spanning four-hand and two-piano works.
