Philip Emde's Simultaneous Present at Elektrohalle Rhomberg

Philip Emde's exhibition '. Corri .. and Door ...' at Elektrohalle Rhomberg in Cologne rejects the traditional retrospective format. Instead of a chronological survey, the show presents a simultaneous present where past, present, and possibility coexist. The exhibition draws from two epicenters in Emde's life: 'Emdiland' in his late father's former antique shop in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, a space blending memories, past installations, left-behind objects, and a former theater stage, now serving as workshop and studio; and another 'Emdiland' in his studio in Cologne's southern district. Emde works in both places, living and not living in each. The exhibition runs at Elektrohalle Rhomberg.
