Philbrook Museum Expands Collection with Diverse Contemporary and Historical Acquisitions

The Philbrook Museum of Art has acquired new works by artists from varied backgrounds and generations, enhancing its collection's historical and contemporary scope. The additions include a painting by French artist Édouard Vuillard, video art by Jeffrey Gibson (Mississippi Band Choctaw/Cherokee), and sculpture by Vietnamese-American artist Tuấn Andrew Nguyễn, a MacArthur Fellow. Museum President Megan Nesbit stated these acquisitions strengthen community engagement and offer fresh perspectives to visitors.
