Philadelphia Museum of Art names Ann Marguerite Tartsinis head of costume and textiles

Ann Marguerite Tartsinis has been named the new Curator and Head of Costume and Textiles at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, carrying the title of Jack M. and Annette Y. Friedland Curator. In her capacity, she will manage a diverse collection that spans various cultures, regions, and eras. Tartsinis aims to enhance aspects of acquisitions, exhibitions, research, and community outreach within the department. This appointment also pays tribute to Dilys E. Blum, the long-serving senior curator who died in December, marking a significant transition in the museum's leadership.
