Philadelphia Museum of Art Appoints Joanna Robotham and Colm Peare to Curatorial Roles

The Philadelphia Museum of Art has revealed two significant curatorial positions within its Department of Modern Art. Joanna Robotham will take on the role of John Alchin and Hal Marryatt Curator of Contemporary Art, while Colm Peare will become the Assistant Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art. Robotham previously worked at the Tampa Museum of Art for ten years, and Peare comes from the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Daniel Weiss, the George D. Widener Director and CEO, expressed enthusiasm for the new appointments, emphasizing that their innovative insights will enhance the museum's mission to support living artists and broaden discussions. Robotham will oversee exhibitions, interpretation, and strategic growth in contemporary art, marking a new era for the museum's curatorial initiatives.
