Petrus Pacheco's Ver-o-Peso Editorial Blends Fashion with Amazon Market Life

Petrus Pacheco, a model, actor, and creative from Belém do Pará in the Brazilian Amazon, now residing in São Paulo, has launched a fashion editorial named "Ver-o-Peso: A Story from Belém" for KALTBLUT magazine. This project took place at 6 a.m. in the Ver-o-Peso market, the largest open-air market in Latin America, established in 1627. Pacheco took on roles as creative director, production lead, and model, with contributions from photographer Mariana Almeida, stylist Emídio Contente, beauty expert Vic Barros, and colour grader Gustavo Delgado. Collaborating with the Brazilian Amazon brand Normando, Pacheco views this work as a personal journey, integrating his body into the iconic setting and embracing the market's natural rhythm. He believes fashion should coexist with daily life, using his presence to navigate between blending in and standing out, while the market's dynamic environment influences each image. Pacheco seeks to transcend typical portrayals of the Amazon, focusing on its authentic, everyday experiences.
