Per Kirkeby's First Asian Exhibition in 20 Years Opens at He Art Museum

VeneKlasen has organized the exhibition 'Per Kirkeby: I Make My Own System' at the He Art Museum in Shunde, Guangzhou, China. This presentation represents the initial showcase of Kirkeby's brick sculptures in China and his first dedicated Asian exhibition in almost twenty years. The display includes paintings, brick sculptures installed both inside the museum and across the city, and bronze maquettes related to his brick works. Kirkeby, who passed away in 2018, was a highly regarded multidisciplinary artist active for over fifty years. His background in geology and natural history informed his artistic practice.
