Penelope Isles Announce New Album '3' with Single 'I Loved You, Robert Pattinson'

Brighton duo Penelope Isles will release their third album '3' on September 25 via Bella Union. The band has shared a second single, 'I Loved You, Robert Pattinson', following the critically acclaimed 'Thinking Seat'. The track reflects on youthful naivety, referencing Lily Wolter's teenage crush on Robert Pattinson during the Twilight era. The accompanying music video, filmed at Black Bay Studios in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, mixes recording sessions with local crab fishing scenes. The album marks a reunion after three years apart, during which Lily spent six months surfing in Sri Lanka and Indonesia, and Jack toured as guitarist for CMAT. Both released solo albums under the names Cubzoa and My Precious Bunny. Written during a surfing month in Lagos, Portugal, the songs were recorded live at Black Bay Studio, a converted fish factory on the Isle of Lewis. This is the band's first album as a trio, with close friend Joe Taylor on drums, and their first entirely live recording. The album is deeply rooted in Brighton, with tracks referencing local landmarks like Bom Bane's restaurant and Embassy Court. Penelope Isles will perform on November 11, 2026 at Supersonic in Paris.
