Pedro Henrique Arquitecto Completes Mimosa House with Central Courtyard Pool in Portugal
Pedro Henrique Arquitecto has finished construction on Mimosa House, a single-family residence in Esmoriz, Portugal. The design centers around a circular courtyard pool that reflects the sky and serves as the home's focal point. Located on a 998-square-meter site formed by merging two plots, the 450-square-meter structure features a horizontal layout with materials including exposed concrete, corten steel, glass, and natural wood. A green roof integrates the building with its coastal landscape setting near pine forests. The courtyard pool, positioned beneath a circular roof opening, provides natural light and contributes to thermal regulation throughout the interior spaces. Photography for the project was handled by Ivo Tavares Studio.
