Pax Newsletter Explores Community-Driven Cultural Tourism and Upcoming Issue Highlights

The newsletter Pax, curated by Livia Montagnoli and Luisa Taliento for Artribune, focuses on cultural tourism through community participation and territorial policies. Its upcoming fifth issue, scheduled for release on Friday, April 3, will feature the Valle dell'Adda region, where the project Identità Fluenti has developed innovative tourism tools with local community involvement, inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's connection to the Adda River. This area, located between Milan and Lecco, offers historical and landscape richness, including ancient hydraulic works, historic bridges, industrial archaeology, and artistic evidence from Roman times to the Middle Ages, alongside rural architecture and contemporary art. The issue also examines how running and jogging can support slow tourism, and includes a geolocated itinerary in Sicily centered on Easter rituals, covering archaeological sites, disused mines, necropolises, and street art. Additionally, Pax provides travel suggestions for cultural itineraries in places like Val Brembana, Sardinia, and Slovenia, urban perspectives from cities like Naples and Milan, trekking routes for spring, hospitality projects, reading recommendations, and opportunities for work in cultural tourism. The newsletter is published biweekly via email for free, with subscriptions available through a form on Artribune's website, and it aims to promote the circulation of ideas and responsible practices in tourism.
