Patricia Cecil Named Executive Director of The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures

Patricia Cecil has been selected as the new Executive Director of The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures, with her tenure beginning on January 5, 2026. Cecil currently works as the Specialist Curator for Faith, Religion, and WWI at the National WWI Museum and Memorial, where she develops exhibitions and programs. Previously, she served as Archivist and Director of the Moore Reading Room at the University of Kansas. Cecil holds degrees in Cultural Anthropology and Indigenous Nations Studies with a Museum Studies specialization. The museum's board conducted a national search with the Maneva Group to fill this leadership position. The institution, located on the University of Missouri-Kansas City campus, houses extensive collections of toys and miniatures.
