Paris's New Contemporary Art Map: Ten Venues to Watch This Autumn
This autumn, Paris is witnessing the launch or reopening of ten innovative contemporary art spaces. Le Large, located on Île Seguin and designed by RCR Arquitectes, is showcasing an exhibition focused on automotive themes until 7 March. The renovated Maison Guimet, under the direction of Constance Guisset, features Chinese collections accessible by reservation only. At Saint-Denis-Pleyel station, 108 sculptures by Prune Nourry and Kengo Kuma adorn the atrium, with the studio open from 22–25 October. The Fonds Enki Bilal will display works until 1 November, while POUSH's Demeure installation is available until 15 November. The Centre Pompidou's Massy branch will preview on 24 October ahead of its March 2027 opening. In June, Grada Kilomba's memorial for the Tutsi genocide was unveiled, and Jean-Luc Verna pays tribute to LGBTQIA+ deportees at Port-de-l'Arsenal. Additionally, Ugo Schildge created murals in Le Blanc-Mesnil, and Jean-Michel Attal inaugurated LAC on 16 October.
