Para Site Marks 30th Anniversary with Year-Long Programme Focused on Dialogue and Urban Change

Para Site, a Hong Kong contemporary arts center, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a year-long programme of exhibitions, performances, and residencies. Deputy Director Junni Chen discussed the initiative with ArtReview Asia. The programme draws inspiration from the institution's early exhibitions, emphasizing artistic dialogue and response. It includes the exhibition 'Site-seeing,' which revisits a 1996 show to explore urban space and memory in Hong Kong's transforming environment. The anniversary also features off-site projects, a revived International Conference focusing on technology, and exchange residencies with Delfina Foundation and Cheng-Lan Foundation. Para Site was founded in 1996 by seven Hong Kong artists and has evolved into a center supporting early-to-mid-career artists across the Asia-Pacific region.
