Pacha New York Opens in Brooklyn, Replacing Controversial Mirage

Pacha New York, a reborn nightclub from the Ibiza brand, opened on June 13, 2026, in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn, replacing the notorious Brooklyn Mirage. The Mirage was demolished earlier in 2026 after failing to secure city approval for a renovation, following a history of drug overdoses and deaths. Kabir Mulchandani, head of the Dubai-based company that owns Pacha Ibiza, secured a deal with a private-equity firm to operate the site. The New York State Liquor Authority approved the alcohol license after Mulchandani promised tighter security, a quieter sound system, shuttle buses, and a new cell tower, with chair Lily Fan stipulating no mention of the Mirage in promotions. The venue has a capacity of 5,300 and features a blacktop dance floor surrounded by shipping container bars, a wide stage with a DJ booth flanked by VIP areas, and a large video screen. Opening weekend featured DJ Rampa from Berlin, who brought local favorites like Danny Tenaglia. VIPs included Travis Scott and Quavo. On Sunday, rain and lightning cut short a planned appearance by Wu-Tang Clan members Ghostface Killah and Raekwon, but Rampa later played an impromptu set. Pacha New York focuses on house music, with ticket prices ranging from $45 to thousands. The club's opening coincided with a local basketball team's championship win, celebrated by the crowd.
