Organ Historical Society Seeks CEO for September 2026

The Organ Historical Society (OHS), celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2026, is accepting nominations and applications for a Chief Executive Officer to start in September 2026. Founded in 1956 by young organ enthusiasts in New York City, OHS has grown into an international organization with over 60,000 pipe organ entries in its online database, more than 400 recognized historic instruments, and the world's largest collection of pipe organ-related archives. Its headquarters are at Stoneleigh, a historic mansion in Villanova, Pennsylvania, on a 40-acre property managed by the Natural Lands Trust, featuring an Aeolian-Skinner organ Opus 878. OHS has a seven-member Board, eight staff, $4 million in endowed funds, and a $700,000 operating budget for FY 2026. The CEO will oversee strategic planning, fundraising, membership development, and educational programs, with an annual salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 plus benefits. Candidates must have at least ten years' senior executive leadership experience and be authorized to work in the US.
