OOOH Studio Transforms Milan's Nino Osteria with Upcycled Fashion Runway Materials

In Milan, OOOH Studio has transformed Nino – Osteria con Cucina into a socially engaging space that challenges conventional dining norms. The interior showcases timber paneling repurposed from a retired catwalk used during Milan Fashion Week, with stiletto heel imprints preserved as a tactile archive. Vintage posters evoke a sense of 1970s nostalgia, complemented by yellow velvet seating and marble tables. Curated shelves feature jazz vinyl from Enricomaria Porta's private collection alongside original 1970s Italian posters, merging jazz culture with hospitality. The design enhances flow, merging quick drinks with extended meals, while a versatile counter serves both seated and standing guests. Warm light filters through timber blinds, highlighting the space's golden tones. This project emphasizes sustainability and narrative depth, joining other Milanese establishments like Da Nonna and Sandi in celebrating character over convention.
