Onze04 Architecture Designs Josephine Baker Dance Hall in La Bouëxière for 2025 Completion

A new 2,500-square-meter dance hall dedicated to Josephine Baker is being constructed in La Bouëxière, France, with completion scheduled for 2025. The project is led by Onze04 Architecture, with Gustavo Silva-Nicoletti serving as lead architect. The design team includes Margaux-Anne Bouvier and Mathias Gerhardt, while specialized consultants contribute expertise: Avel Acoustique handles acoustic engineering, EVEN provides structural engineering, and Asteo advises on textile architecture. Curated by Hadir Al Koshta, the sports architecture project has been documented through photographs by Juan Cardona and Laurent Desmoulins. The facility aims to serve as a cultural venue celebrating the legacy of the iconic performer.
