One&Only Moonlight Basin Opens in Big Sky with Alpine Design and Regional Art

One&Only Moonlight Basin has launched in Big Sky, Montana, marking the luxury brand's first U.S. property. The resort spans 240 acres within Gallatin National Forest, offering 73 guest rooms, 19 cabins, and amenities including a spa, multiple dining venues, and ski access via a private gondola. Seattle design firm Olson Kundig created the interiors, blending minimalist alpine aesthetics with Western influences through materials like stone, wood, and leather. Nearly 80% of the contemporary art collection features regional artists, including works by Tracy Linder, Alessandro Gallo, and Paul Harris. The development highlights Montana's landscape while providing year-round outdoor activities and proximity to Yellowstone National Park.
