Rodrigo expressed pride in the project and anticipation for listeners to hear it. This release follows her previous album 'Guts' by approximately two and a half years. Promotional efforts for the new record began earlier this year, with a notable visual shift from the purple theme associated with her earlier work to a light pink color scheme, exemplified by a repainted mural in Los Angeles. The album title marks a departure from her previous practice of using single-word names for her records. Rodrigo, now 20, rose to prominence in early 2021 with her debut single 'Drivers License,' which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for eight consecutive weeks. Her first album, 'Sour,' was released later that year. She received multiple Grammy nominations in 2022, winning awards including Best New Artist.
