OKCMOA Announces Elemental Visions Video Exhibition for Spring 2027

The Oklahoma City Museum of Art (OKCMOA) will launch its spring 2027 exhibition, "Elemental Visions: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and the Moving Image," on Saturday, February 27. This exhibition, created in collaboration with the Carl & Marilynn Thoma Foundation, features artworks from their collection. It explores how artists and filmmakers have engaged with the elements of fire, water, earth, and air, influenced by ancient philosophical ideas and classical film concepts, to push the boundaries of moving-image and light art over the last century. The show is organized into four sections focusing on different themes, emphasizing the relevance of these elemental forces in contemporary art. This partnership showcases the importance of collaborative efforts in making significant art accessible to the public.
