Obama Foundation Reveals Mega-Donors Including Bezos, Chesky, Ballmer

The Obama Presidential Foundation has unveiled its major benefactors through a donor wall at the museum. Among the highlights, six donations surpassed $50 million, one of which remains anonymous. The largest known contribution came from Brian Chesky, CEO of Airbnb, who gave $125 million, including $100 million earmarked for the Obama-Chesky Voyager scholarship initiative. Jeff Bezos contributed $100 million, with a request to name the plaza after Rep. John Lewis. Additionally, Connie and Steven Ballmer donated over $50 million for the Eleanor Roosevelt Fruit & Vegetable Garden, while Glenn Hutchins' Hutchins Family Foundation also gave more than $50 million for the Hope and Change Lobby. Twelve donations ranging from $25 million to $49.9 million were made by various notable individuals and foundations, with Chicago-based donors like the Alphawood Foundation, Boeing, and Oprah Winfrey contributing between $10 million and $24.9 million.
