Nothing Ear (3a) Earbuds Launch with Audio Snapshot Feature and New Pink Color

Nothing has announced the Ear (3a), an upgrade to its entry-level Ear (a) earbuds, priced at £99. Available in black, white, yellow, and a new pink, the earbuds feature a redesigned case with a revised charge status light and new XS ear tips. The standout addition is Audio Snapshot, which uses 32MB of onboard flash storage and the built-in microphone array to capture audio instantly by pinching both earbuds. Recordings are stored in the Nothing X app, which also offers transcription, similar to standalone devices like the Plaud Note Pro. The earbuds also support call recording where legal, with up to two hours of storage. Other upgrades include a 12 mm dynamic driver for enhanced bass, Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification via Sony's LDAC, an eight-band equalizer, and shareable audio profiles. Active Noise Cancellation and transparency mode are improved, and Static Spatial Audio adds reverb. Battery life reaches ten hours on the earbuds alone (six with ANC) and 42 hours with the case (25 with ANC); five minutes of charging provides one hour of playback. The Ear (3a) joins Nothing's (a) product family alongside the Phone (4a) and Headphone (a).
