Niquu Eyeta and Ghizlane Sahli showcase collaborative exhibition on material transformation at Sakhile&Me Frankfurt

From January 22 to 25, 2026, 'House of Galleries (Volume 11)' took place at Sakhile&Me in Frankfurt am Main, showcasing the works of Niquu Eyeta and Ghizlane Sahli. This exhibition fostered a conversation between Eyeta's organic creations, which incorporate plant pigments, textiles, and clay, and Sahli's alveoli-inspired forms crafted from discarded plastic bottles and silk thread. Both artists view their materials as living records that encapsulate histories of movement and ecology. Eyeta, originally from Ethiopia and now residing in Germany, utilizes slow processes like fermentation and dyeing, while Sahli revives waste through intricate embroidery rooted in Moroccan traditions. Their art reflects on themes of care, memory, fragility, and resilience, challenging conventional production and consumption narratives. Curated by Sakhile and Daniel, the exhibition maintained distinct individual practices while fostering collective resonance.
