Nieuwe Instituut Opens Collection Gallery and 'Just In #2' Exhibition

On June 18, the Nieuwe Instituut, which serves as the national museum for architecture, design, and digital culture in Rotterdam, unveiled two new exhibitions. The Collection Gallery is a dynamic, interactive space that includes projections, mirrored surfaces, scale models, and drawings from the National Collection for Dutch Architecture and Urban Planning. It delves into 150 years of design within the Dutch built environment, tackling issues such as housing shortages, colonial architecture, garden cities, computer-aided design, and the contributions of female architects. Over a span of three years, items will be rotated, with narratives evolving in response to contemporary events. Simultaneously, the exhibition 'Just In #2: Work in progress' was also launched.
